Upon further business growth at our 24/7 Sameday Logistics company, HBC Logistics welcomes Ben Tucker to the team as our new Account Manager – appointed to successfully expand our customer support and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders as our customer base continues to grow.
Ben has joined HBC at a pivotal time – since the relocation nine months ago, the HBC Logistics name continued to grow exponentially and we currently stand proud with a portfolio of customers, partners and sponsors by our side. We are one of the biggest players in the Courier Exchange today, thanks to our enviable reputation in providing fast, safe and peace-of-mind delivery services to our customers. As Account Manager, Ben’s role will mainly consist of developing and maintaining relationships with all of our customers, old and new – addressing enquiries, resolving complaints, and overall acting as the main point of contact between key clients and our internal team.
We sat down with Ben to ask him a few questions about his previous experience with Business Development and how he plans to use his skills and knowledge in his new role.
So Ben, tell us about your previous experience.
“I have 13 years of experience in Sales and Account Management, with roles varying from Customer Advisor to Sales Representative. These previous roles enabled me to develop my skills in customer service, account management, purchasing negotiation and business development – key elements that I believe will help me in my new role here.”
What will your current knowledge and skills bring to HBC Logistics?
“My history of sales and customer-based positions has helped me develop a concise and compelling approach to building rapport with customers. Specifically for HBC, I am aware that every account may have different needs i.e. some may require storage space from time to time, and some may have jobs that require certain equipment or a very specific window of time. As Account Manager, it will be my responsibility to keep our customers satisfied and ensure their needs are always acknowledged and met, developing existing and new relationships along the way.
I also look forward to utilising my sales experience and people skills when working closely with the Sales and Marketing team. We already have a strategy in place to catch up regularly on any new or existing customers that require attention.”
Exciting! How do you personally see the role of an Account Manager?
“An Account Manager will serve as the main point of contact in all matters related to customers concerns and needs. He/she will build and strengthen customer relationships to achieve a long-lasting partnership from business to business. This is my perception of the role and how I plan on taking it on.”
How can our customers get in touch with you?
“With such big responsibility, I want to be as accessible as possible to our customers. For now, if they’d like to get in touch for any enquiry, they can connect with me on LinkedIn, email me at ben.tucker@hbclogistics.co.uk or give me a call on 01462 410004.”
We are super impressed with Ben’s dedication so far and look forward to watching him develop relationships with our valued customers.
