Last night, we attended the National Courier Awards with one of our founding drivers, Lee Bex, who was shortlisted for the Individual Four-Wheel Road Winner Award. We are extremely delighted to announce he WON and was recognised for his outstanding professional attitude and dedication to the sector in front of an impressive audience.
The National Courier Awards are hosted by the Institute of Couriers – the government stakeholder for express, final mile and last mile delivery. Every year, an independent panel of operators and sector stakeholders judge a variety of key worker companies sector-wide.
The intention of these awards is to recognise the best of the best in the courier industry – from wheels to office, contract and military. Last night, we attended the gala event and celebrated excellence from a number of courier companies large and small, including our own represented by Lee.
Lee Bex is one of four of our founding drivers at HBC Logistics Ltd. He’s been with us since we were established in 2017 and has since remained alongside us as our courier company grew successfully.
In the last five years, Lee has gone above and beyond as a driver to provide an outstanding service to our customers, as well as assist our sales team to find and complete leads. His attendance is impressive and he has a clear understanding that our drivers are the face of HBC Logistics during collections and deliveries, so he always makes sure to act professionally, safely and respectfully to our customers.
In addition to his professionalism, Lee is loved by all at the office. As well as being extremely loyal to the company, he is a great laugh and when he visits the office in-between loads, he’s always up for banter and let’s not forget – steal our biscuits. We thoroughly believe Lee is a prime representation of a loyal, hard-working, dedicated driver. Despite the tiring hours he works, he still remains positive and motivated every working day.

We are incredibly proud that the judges also recognised Lee’s outstanding attributes, enough to reward him with this prestigious award. Winning alongside other dedicated couriers and huge delivery companies including Evri and DPD, Lee was extremely delighted and could not wipe the smile off of his face – as we were as we watched him collect the award and sing We Are The Champions in celebration!

Whether it’s finding potential prospects or consistently providing exceptional customer service, if there is a way we can reward these guys we will.
