HBC Logistics are delighted to confirm an extension of their partnership with multiple BTCC race winner, Árón Taylor-Smith, supporting his special tenth season competing in the 2024 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.
As one of the UK’s fastest-growing sameday delivery experts, we thought it was the perfect fit to sponsor a fast-driving racer in one of the biggest motorsport events in the country. HBC Logistics first entered the BTCC with Taylor-Smith in 2022 and has since become a key part of Taylor-Smith’s success in recent times. 2024 marks the start of the third season supporting Taylor-Smith as he is set to embark on another exciting BTCC campaign.
The 2023 season was a breakout year for the Irishman as he changed teams to CarStore Power Maxed Racing for what unfolded to be a silverware-laden season for the Dubliner. Taylor-Smith proved to be one to watch through the second half of the season as he added four Independent class victories to a trophy cabinet that already includes four outright race wins and, now, 20 podiums finishes since making his debut back in 2011. The past nine months have certainly marked something of a renaissance for Taylor-Smith’s touring car career, and the focus has already shifted towards making 2024 an even bigger step towards the ultimate goal of championship glory.
Taylor-Smith commented: “The support from everyone at HBC Logistics means more to me than you would realise as they’ve really become part of my racing crew! Everyone at the base is insanely supportive and I’m over the moon to continue flying the HBC flag into the 2024 season. We have some pretty cool plans in the pipeline for this season to make it our best one yet!”
Taylor-Smith recently revealed the news that he re-signed for CarStore Power Maxed Racing for the 2024 season. The change of teams really paid dividends during the 2023 season and confidence is high entering a new season due to a winter of development. 2024 will be the first season in Taylor-Smith’s BTCC career where he will get the opportunity to be in the same car, with the same team and most critically the same engineering crew.
Taylor-Smith commented: “The continuity going into 2024 is arguably what I am most excited about! 2023 was a season of two halves where once we connected with the car we became a constant threat for podiums and race wins. Now we have all winter to develop the car even further and I have no doubt that we will come out swinging at the first race. This simply would not be possible with HBC in my corner and I genuinely can’t wait to see them trackside next season.
Ben Weldon commented: “2023 was some season for Árón! We loved seeing him getting back on the podium and being in the mix throughout the year. We’ve supported Árón for two seasons so far and we have loved them BUT getting to see him fight for race wins is something that has set this year apart. It was a no brainer for us to continue into the 2024 season and to say that we are excited to see what he can achieve next year is an understatement.”
Preparations are well underway for the start of the 2024 season with a host of winter developments already underway within Power Maxed Racing to ensure that they are even more competitive come the first race of the season at Donington. Be sure to keep an eye on both the HBC Logistics and Árón Taylor-Smith’s social media channels for regular updates.
