June brought a month of exciting new adventures and directions for the company. To deal with the extremely busy times ahead, we have welcomed new staff with open arms. But we have also announced two new sponsors, showed off our new fleet of brand-new vans, and somehow convinced our team to dress up as Barbie and Ken to walk around Biggleswade for the day… yes, you have read that right.
SME Bedfordshire Business Awards – empty-handed but even more determined
On Thursday 29th June, we attended a brilliant Awards Evening at the Auction House in Luton as a proud nominee for the SME Business Awards – Enterprising Business Of The Year and Business Of The Year (Small to Medium). This was our first Awards Nomination and Event we attended as a member of the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce. Our team at HBC Logistics have worked tirelessly to reach the levels and growth our business is currently at, what with the much-anticipated move to Biggleswade and the expansion of new Delivery and Storage services. We deserve the win!
However, unfortunately, we left empty-handed. Still, we were honoured to just be nominated for these awards. It was a lovely evening and we thank both the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce and SME Business Awards for including us. We will be back for the win next year!
The Expansion of our Fleet
Think about how exciting and refreshing it is the first time you sit in your brand-new car – it’s like a big new toy!
That’s how we felt when our brand new fleet of 2023 vans arrived at our yard that morning. These five new branded vehicles will help us manage the recent growth and demand for sameday deliveries. It also is a brilliant opportunity to keep getting our name out there.
Do you want your freight delivered in safe, new and well-maintained vehicles? Our sameday delivery experts promise to deliver on time, every time, at an affordable, competitive rate. Give us a call on 01462 410004 or get a free instant quote online here – www.hbclogistics.co.uk/contact-us/
The Biggleswade Carnival
Here at HBC Logistics, we have always pledged to be a company that plays a part in the local community. That is why we were delighted to get involved in this year’s Biggleswade Carnival – a brilliant annual event that raises money to fund local projects and needs from new defibrillators to equipment for local clubs.
This year’s theme was Toys & Games, so with the excitement of the upcoming film and the diversity of our team, we thought Barbie and Ken would be the perfect theme!
So, we dressed up as our best versions of Barbie and Ken, decorated the van with pink tassels and balloons, and completed the two mile walk through Biggleswade shaking our buckets. It was so much fun and we are ecstatic to share the news that the parade alone raised £735.15!
New Sponsors!
Those that have followed us for a while know HBC Logistics has sponsored and supported a variety of ambitious people in different specialities – from swimmers and cyclists to professional football teams and racing drivers. Now we have recently announced two new sponsors from very different fields of sport… and it’s safe to say they have not disappointed us!
Introducing Aloys Jr aka Aloys ‘The Animal’! HBC Logistics is stepping into the ring with Frank Warren’s Cruiserweight prospects with a five-fight sponsorship deal. At just twenty years old, Aloys has been bagging wins with some serious knockouts. On 12th May, we had the privilege to watch him ringside at York Hall as he defeated his opponent in the third round with a monstrous left hook. It was insane!
In addition to this, we have also sponsored 21-year-old Long Drive Pro Athlete and friend Owen Meeds as he takes on huge international championships and ambitions on his Long Drive journey. A few weeks ago, he competed in his third European Long Drive event of the season in Hungary and won! At present, he remains top of the league in the Games and has an exciting few weeks travelling around the world to win the big championship title. This week, he has arrived in Canada for the next round – we wish him the best of luck!
Thanks for reading – until next time!
